This bowl was created from a young (ca. 30 yr) wild Cherry tree (Prunus avium), growing in a residential garden in the Aberdeen suburb of Milltimber. There were many trees in this garden (including other Cherries) and the owners wanted this tree removed because it was casting too much shade.
